Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are made by Assurity Consulting Limited (the Company) and apply to events organised and run by Assurity Education, a business unit of the Company. Contact details can be found at the end of this section.

A single course is referred to as an ‘Event’.

Event Registration Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure terms and conditions of registration at Assurity events are understood and communicated. Please read all registration and refund policies carefully before you register.

Registration

Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early – class sizes are limited and in high demand. Waiting lists are available for all classes that become full. Full payment must be received before the event commences, or payment terms agreed with the Education Operations Manager at Assurity.

You can register in 3 ways:

Online

In the first instance, all registrations up to the date of closure of the event will be accepted via the booking page. The course closure date online will be 3 days (72 hours) prior to the beginning of an event. If you are still interested in attending the event and the course is deemed closed, as it falls within the final 72 hours, email or call the Education Operations Manager directly.

By email

Within the last 3 days (72 hours), please email the Education Operations Manager directly at events@assurity.co.nz. This will ensure that your registration is confirmed and invoice rendered as soon as possible to ensure a payment arrangement is made in time for you to attend the event. All registrations should be completed online up until the last 72 hours.

By phone

Call 09 354 4901 with all necessary information in the final 72 hours. The Education Operations Manager works between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Monday to Friday. All registrations should be completed online up until the last 72 hours.

Confirmation

You will receive confirmation of registration by email as soon as your online registration details have been received. Further event details, confirmations and timings will be received in the week prior to the course commencing.

Payment

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars.

Event registration costs must be paid in full prior to the commencement of an event. If you are not an existing Assurity client, payment must be made by credit card. If you are an existing Assurity client, and have elected to pay by account, an invoice will be sent to you within 72 hours. Please ensure you provide all necessary billing information on your registration. Payment is accepted by credit card payment online. For payment by internet banking, call 09 354 4901 between 9am and 5pm.

Any payment which is to occur after the event will need to be negotiated directly with the Education Operations Manager and will require a deposit to secure your attendance. This deposit will be non-refundable.

Discounts

Early bird registration discount

Assurity offers an early bird registration discount of up to 20 percent. This applies to anyone enrolling in the advertised training session up to one month prior to the date of the commencement of the course. The early bird registration is applied on the Assurity website and will automatically change one month before the course date to the full cost of the course. 

Group discounts

Group discounts are applicable at 10 percent for an individual company with 5 or more attendees. This applies only to an individual company applying for registration on a singular course, not combined courses.

Associate discounts

Assurity associates are eligible to receive discounts on some events. These discount rates will be advertised prior to the courses commencing. There is a drop-down field on the registration form online which determines what discount you are entitled to. Please complete the details with the appropriate information if you are requesting a discount provision be invoiced.

Please note, discounts will not be applied on top of discounts. Further discounts such as group discounts or membership discounts are not applied on top of this discounted early registration. Group and membership discounts will be applied on the full cost of the course only.

Cancellation of an Event

Assurity reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule classes to adjust for enrolment. If Assurity cancels a class, you may transfer to another class or receive a full refund.

Failure to attend an Event / Withdrawal from an Event

No refunds will be given if the attendee fails to attend or pulls out of a scheduled event within the final 24 hours. They will be classed as ‘no–shows’ and will be charged the full registration fee. No refunds or credits will be given for events missed due to illness, personal conflict or other personal reasons. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Cancellations received up to 7 days prior to the event start date will receive the full refund of registration fee in the form of credit note. Transferring the funds paid to another event may be possible if the recipient calls and notifies the Education Operations Manager up to 72 hours ahead of the scheduled event.

Materials fee

A materials and administration fee of up to 10 percent may be charged to anyone pulling out within the 7 days leading up to an event. This is because materials and catering concessions will have already been provided for once your registration is confirmed.

Replacement Policy

Replacement of participants can be made up to 72 hours prior to the event start date and should be sent to events@assurity.co.nz or phoned directly to the Education Operations Manager. Request for replacement of participants within the final 3 days (72 hours) of the event will incur a materials fee as costs will have already been incurred.

Transfer Policy

Registrants can transfer to another event 3 days or more prior to the event start date. You will be charged or refunded any differences in the event price. 

You are not able to transfers registrants within 2 days of the event start date.

Media Coverage

Any person attending the Conference and associated events:

a. acknowledges that it is likely to be recorded in a number of media and publicly disseminated;
b. agrees that perpetual use may be made, free of charge, of his/her voice, image and likeness whilst at the Venue or associated event outside the Venue, by means of live or recorded video display, broadcast, transmission or other dissemination or recording, photographs or any other current and/or future media technologies; and
c. waives, on an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual basis, all rights to object to such broadcasting, transmission or dissemination in any media.
