As part of our continued support of WeTest Wellington, Assurity offered its Level 3 innovation space in February for an interactive session with Paul Holland talking about ‘Creating Test Ideas’.

Assurity’s Innovation Lab is based in L3 of the Todd Building, as well as being used by multiple government agencies to collaborate and create better public services.

In the WeTest session, Paul – who is Senior Director of Test Engineering at Medidata Solutions in New York – demonstrated how the most common approach to generating tests might be placing creativity in a locked box.

L3, which accommodates up to 500 people, was perfectly suited to the interactive session which clearly showed the impact of common practices on the generation of test ideas by using ‘experimentation’ (group A vs group B).

Event organiser Aaron Hodder says “It’s great to have access to a space like this for larger events. A few attendees said how much they liked it – and it also prompted conversations about the kind of work we’re doing in the Innovation Lab”.
