Nigel provides specialist consulting services to help clients deliver value by building better software faster. As a software developer with 25 years' experience, his focus for the last decade has been on practices that improve the quality of software delivery. He has worked for Assurity since 2005.
As a coach, he particularly enjoys teaching people new skills and helping teams become more cross-functional. Nigel specialises in Specification by Example and Continuous Delivery, in addition to practices such as Test-driven Development and Refactoring. Over the last two years, he's proud to have helped a number of projects go live with zero known defects.
Nigel is active in the development community as co-leader of the Wellington Java User Group and is on the organising committee of the Continuous Integration and Testing Conference (CITCON). He is a committer on the open-source Concordion project and creator of the concordion-extensions library.
